Charged in Fulton County over the Georgia effort
Charged by a Fulton County grand jury with racketeering conspiracy and solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer. He had opened the January 2, 2021 call to the Georgia Secretary of State, saying there were "allegations where we believe that not every vote or fair vote and legal vote was counted" and asking for "some kind of agreement to look at this a little bit more fully". A federal court refused to move the case out of state court, finding the call was campaign work rather than part of his duties as White House chief of staff.
