Posted that "I was at the doors on January 6, face to face with protestors, and I know firsthand there was NO INSURRECTION." From inside the chamber on the day itself he had posted a photograph of himself helping hold the door, writing that he was "proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with Capitol police barricading entrance to our sacred House chamber" and that "what I'm witnessing is a disgrace. We're better than this. Violence is NEVER the answer."
