Responsible
Marjorie Taylor Greene
U.S. Representative — Georgia
Announced in late December 2020 that she would object to the certification "so the American people can see the clear evidence of voter fraud," and was filmed before the attack describing a planning session for that objection. She voted to sustain both objections. In February 2021 the House voted 230 to 199, eleven Republicans joining, to strip her of both committee assignments over her promotion of conspiracy theories including QAnon; the assignments were restored in 2023. She has gone on asserting that the 2020 election was stolen, including in posts made after the 2024 election.
