Questioned over the removal of agents who investigated January 6
Asked at a Senate Appropriations hearing about the forcing out of the head of the New York field office, who had resisted handing over a list of agents who worked on January 6 investigations. He answered that "no one on any list will be punished at the FBI" and that agents are not punished for their case assignments. Personnel connected to those investigations continued to be removed.
