Two billion dollars from the Saudi sovereign wealth fund
Six months after leaving the White House, his firm Affinity Partners received a two billion dollar investment from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. The panel that screens the fund's investments objected, citing the firm's inexperience, an asset management fee it called excessive, and the "public relations risks" of his previous role. The full board, headed by the crown prince, overruled them.
