Donald J. Trump Jr.

No government position · trustee of his father's trust · campaign surrogate
Held no office, which the record should say plainly. Took the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting after being told in writing the material came from a foreign government, replying that he loved it. Campaigned for his father in every race and defended him through both terms. Spoke from the stage at the Ellipse on January 6, 2021, before his father did, and later told the Select Committee he could not recall the conversations about how that rally came together. Ran the family business through both terms and was found liable in the New York civil fraud action.

Found liable in the New York fraud judgment

Held liable with the Trump Organization in the New York Attorney General's civil fraud case, ordered to pay $4 million and barred for two years from serving as an officer of any New York corporation. The judge found "a yearslong scheme to dupe banks and others with financial statements that inflated his wealth". In August 2025 an appeals court vacated the money penalty as excessive; the finding that fraud was committed was left standing.
